1)Try and get a nice layout. Something that's eyecatchy is bound to get your website getting loads of visitors!
2)It's got to have content When i'm visiting peoples sites its either for the pleasure, or getting somthing for my website.
3)Don't have CRAMPED writing. Always writing in italics won't be very good, it'll mae your webby reader find it hard to read.
4)Choose an easy way of putting out your navigation. I've beEn on some sites And didn't have a clue where the menu was!
5)Use some graphics ,icons or blends that will make a visitor want to spend a long time on your hompage.
6)Make a seperate page for your affliates, you don't want the visitor to go just yet!
7)Have somethings the visitor can do on there! Add; shoutboxes,commentboards..etc. if you'd like a nice way of presenting your message boxes comment boards etc. Visit my junkyard...
8)Have a neat homepage, don't have any pixelated stuff, just makes everything...weird.
9)Copyright your stuff, make it no highlight and no right click (unless it's not yours)
10) SHOW that your copyrighted, in a box or somewhere "this is MY site 100 percent copyright (c)"
11) Don't have lots of glitter. Glitter sites aren't very popular to piczo visitors, yeah it hurts your eyes.
12) Don't have a complicated background with writing that is hard to read (colour wise) on top. Difficult, not worth the time? That's what your visitors will think, and they won't be coming back.
13) Flashing Graphics. MMK have a few if they're icons, but as a background all over the place it just makes it really weird, wacky maybe but not to you eyes!
14)Give CREDIT. If you've taken something off a site give credit for it. It shows you respect the site and its rules and regulations. It also shows how you're putting your layouts together.
15) NEVER redistribute, or take something without credit. Doing this without permission will get you in a lot of trouble and when it's on your homepage the owner of that actual piece will get very angry...oh yeah, did you know it's ILLEGAL?
